The story of Love Well Co…
Hi! I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Christy and I am the owner and creator of Love Well Collective. This whole crazy idea was born out of a desire to help educate and equip people to better care for those around them. In October 2015 my Dad passed away from a long battle with pancreatic cancer, congestive heart failure, and complications with diabetes. Until I experienced that side of grief I had always been the one who felt awkward at funerals, didn’t know what to say to those walking through a difficult season, or often wondered what I should even do to help. After being on the receiving end of all that it became clear that I was far from alone in those thoughts and feelings. People EVERYWHERE struggle to know what to do, how to help, and what to say when grief and difficulty is involved.
A few years after Dad’s death I began putting things together to write a book that would address this very topic. After meeting with a literary agent and essentially hearing her say, “mmmmm, I don’t think so sister,” (Okay, she didn’t actually say that) she planted another idea in my mind and the Lord watered that seed. What began to grow was a vision to provide practical resources for women who want to do something practical to show they care, but don’t know where to start. The Love Well Box has been an idea for a while and I am SO excited to finally get to see it become a reality and share it with the world. I hope and pray this is just the beginning of many exciting things the Lord has planned for Love Well Co. My prayer is that these resources will help give you the confidence you need to reach out and love those around you as best you possibly can, and then they in turn will do the same thing!
A little about Christy…
Christy lives in the Dallas area with her husband, Justin, and their two energetic boys, Zachary and Isaac. Being a boy mom, she is surrounded by Nerf gun darts, baseball gear, and noise. She will say you can never have enough books, lipstick, or earrings, and if given the opportunity you will find her curled up on the couch with something to read, or enjoying a good cup of coffee with her husband and closest friends. She loves to sing and enjoys using her gifts of music and women’s ministry as she and her family serve faithfully in their local church.
